Law for Abused Women Children
 

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the U.A.E. and Ruler of Dubai, has issued a law for the setting up of a charity body to care for women & children abused or in an inhumane condition. According to the law, the Dubai Women's and Children's Charity Foundation will offer its services to women and children who suffer from physical and psychological abuse by providing them with the necessary assistance as they need. The woman and child protection agency will provide a safe shelter, psychological and health care, as well as the necessary counseling on the best manner to solve their problem.

The new establishment will also offer rehabilitation services to enable this category of people to reintegrate in the society and to successfully solve their their problems by helping them find alternative sources of income for their living. According to the law, a board of directors shall be formed to manage and supervise the foundation's administrative and technical affairs, as well as its day to day activities and make the appropriate decisions that will lead to fulfillment of its objectives. The foundation shall generate its revenues from the Dubai's general budget, in addition to grants, gifts and donations from governmental and non-governmental organizations.
