The Ministry of Labor at Abu Dhabi has issued new rule for the labor card process with regards to the health certificate requirement which came into effect beginning of November, 2007. Under the new rule, medical certificates issued only by government hospitals and authorized/ government accredited private hospitals, and which undergo the exact employment procedures shall be accepted by the Ministry of Labor for the processing of labor cards. This rule shall ensure that people do not go to substandard clinics to obtain medical certificates according to Ministry Officials.
