New Law on Executive Office
Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE H. H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has issued in his capacity as and Ruler of Dubai a law attaching the executive office in Dubai to the Court of the Ruler.
The move is part of continuous efforts aimed at achieving comprehensive development in the Emirate of Dubai through the vision of Sheikh Mohammed to improve government performance.
The office was mandated by the law to conduct economic, social, political and cultural studies to support strategic decision-making and follow up implementation of resolutions and projects issued by the Ruler of Dubai.
It will prepared long term strategic development plans and envisage scenarios of potential challenges in view of present and futures global and regional changes and recommend strategies for addressing them.
The new law, which will replace the law no 28 of 2008 for establishment of the executive office, shall go into force from the date of publication.
The new body shall have the legal personality to discharge missions and responsibilities assigned to it.
